Mrs. Arrington is a Partner and Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer in the Ares Human Resources Department, and partners with the firm's DEI Council to advance Ares' strategy to attract, develop, engage and advance diverse talent within an inclusive, welcoming environment, along with advance equity in the broader alternative asset management industry. Mrs. Arrington also serves as an advisor to support DEI initiatives at portfolio companies across Ares' investment strategies. Prior to joining Ares in 2021, Mrs. Arrington served as a Senior Vice President and Head of Targeted Sourcing at Wells Fargo & Company, where she provided leadership in the strategic planning and execution of diversity sourcing initiatives and programs for the firm. Previously, Mrs. Arrington held several senior roles at The Bank of America Corporation within the Global Diversity and Inclusion Organization. In addition, she was an Equity Derivatives Sales Trader at Morgan Stanley. Mrs. Arrington began her career as a Financial Analyst at CIT Group. Marvin Davenport serves as the Chief Diversity Officer at VSP Vision, which serves as a vision care health insurance company with over 13K employees, serving over 80M members and more than 62K clients worldwide. Previously, Davenport served as the Head of Inclusion & Diversity Programs for Amazon Web Services (AWS). He had responsibility for key global business projects focused on diversity integration into the employee lifecycle, the Inclusion Engineer Rotational Program, management of select external initiatives and several other day-to-day responsibilities. Davenport also served as the Regional Diversity Leader for Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) Business where he led the development and execution of diversity and inclusion strategies that impacted more than 15,000 employees. Davenport started his career at Walmart Stores Inc. where he held several positions including Director of Business Insights and Integration. He led the programmatic execution of the company’s Diversity Goals Program for more than 75,000 members of management and tracking diversity metrics/analytics for the company’s U.S. based workforce of more than 1.3 million associates. As the Chief Culture, Diversity and Impact Officer at Vizient, Inc., Monica Davy guides overarching strategy, program implementation and ongoing support for the company’s Culture, DEI, Engagement, Community Impact and Corporate Responsibility initiatives. Prior to joining Vizient, Davy served as the Director of the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion, responsible for promoting, monitoring and enforcing diversity and equal employment opportunity standards at NCUA. She oversaw the diversity requirements of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act within NCUA’s business practices and among regulated entities. Prior to joining NCUA, Davy served as executive director of the Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at the Internal Revenue Service. Sonya G. Smith, Ed.D., J.D. is the Chief Diversity Officer at the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) in Washington, DC and leads efforts to promote inclusive climates, diversity, access, equity, and belongingness. These efforts include the development of ADEA’s first access, diversity, and inclusion strategic framework, the inaugural faculty diversity toolkit, an inaugural U.S. and Canadian dental education climate assessment, and health equity resources to support historically underrepresented and marginalized patients. Dr. Smith also served as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs & Enrollment Services/Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). Additionally, she worked at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), previously serving as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs/Chief Student Affairs Officer; Associate Professor of Health Services Research Administration in the College of Public Health. Dr. Smith’s consulting experiences include serving as a Public Policy Consultant for seven (7) years for the Office of the General Counsel - Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration, Tennessee Department of Health - General Counsel’s Office, and the TennCare Bureau in the areas of healthcare policy, compliance, health inequities, legislation, and access issues related to support policy initiatives for marginalized and underrepresented patients. Dr. Smith has published in a number of peer review journals on women and global health, antiracism frameworks, diversifying the health care workforce, academic freedom and the first amendment, diversifying the student body, fostering belonging, legal challenges to campus equity programs, and reducing health inequities. Her areas of teaching have included global health and human rights, education law, public health law, and teaching medical malpractice to medical students. She serves on numerous committees such as the National Hispanic Medical Association – Health Scholars Advisory Committee, Social Mission National Advisory Committee, and the National Academe of Medicine Collaborative on Clinician Well-being and Resiliency. Additionally, Dr. Smith served two terms as the Vice Chair, Health Law Section, Diversity Committee for the American Bar Association. She is a co-principal investigator for the national Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP) funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. She was named an Influencer by the National Diversity Council, received the ADEA Change Agent Award, and also the ADEA Chair of the Board Citation for her leadership efforts in diversity and inclusion. Dr. Smith is also the recipient of the Vanderbilt Law School’s Bennett Douglas Bell Memorial Prize and Philip G. Davidson III Memorial Award. She holds a B.S. in History, M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction, and an Ed.S. in Administration & Supervision from Middle Tennessee State University. She received her doctorate in Higher Education Administration and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Vanderbilt University and completed a certificate in international law at the Tulane University Institute of European Legal Studies in Paris, France. Other certifications include Title IX Hearing Officer, Cornell University Diversity and Inclusion; Civil Rights Investigator, and Affirmative Action Professional. Amy Hanneman joined Northwestern Mutual in March 2019 as the Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion. Diversity & Inclusion are top priorities of the company. Amy and her team work across the organization to drive D&I leadership at all levels, helping everyone not only understand why it’s important, but also to feel empowered and accountable to drive it personally each day. Before joining Northwestern Mutual, Amy led Diversity & Inclusion for technology multinationals DXC Technology and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Prior to moving into human rights work, Amy worked in multiple fields within defense and security technology with Raytheon including sales, international business development, contracts negotiation, and government relations. Favorite roles in her career include negotiating with NATO, being the chief of staff to a CEO, working in D.C. on Capitol Hill, and leading 160 Employee Resource Groups in 32 countries. Amy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Mississippi, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Boston University. She also serves as a director on the board of Out & Equal Workplace Advocates as well as the Milwaukee Urban League. Besides driving equity and inclusion, her priorities are her partner Vaso and their four little superwomen. Amelia Hardy is recognized as an insightful strategic thought leader and change agent. She approaches work with an equity lens that creates a culture of inclusion and a thriving collaborative environment. She is an end-to-end ideator that utilizes data and insights to make sense of ambiguous white spaces which she applies to turning around existing businesses, creating new business initiatives, and transforming cultures in companies. Ms. Hardy’s current responsibilities include efforts to increase the engagement, representation, and retention of diverse employees at all levels of the company. She also oversees initiatives aimed at increasing the presence of products and services acquired from minority-owned businesses and partnering with other organizations to eradicate racial and social disparities in underrepresented communities. She provides insight and direction for enterprise multicultural branding and cause marketing initiatives. Additionally, she is responsible for ESG and reputation management for her organization. Prior to her current role, Amelia served as a general manager for Best Buy Health business, where she helped initiate, grow, and maintain strategic partnerships. She has had over 20 years of strategic and P&L leadership roles at fortune 100 companies. Her career experiences include marketing, strategy, brand management, business development, product commercialization and business management. Ms. Hardy has been significantly involved in inclusion and diversity initiatives at multiple companies and within the community. Currently, she sits on multiple national and community nonprofit boards including the Boys and Girls Club of the Twin Cities, MEDA, The Cowles Center, FORESIGHT and Minnesota Community Care. Her desire is to do the work to help eradicate racial and social inequities and disparities in corporations and communities. She is also the recipient of multiple awards as an acknowledgement of her commitment to employees, customers and the community.
Erika Hopkins is the Corporate Vice President – Culture, Social Responsibility & DEI for Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC), one of the nation’s leading wholesale beverage alcohol distributors, specializing in wine and spirits. Her thought leadership and guidance has been instrumental in the development of RNDC’s robust DEI and Social Responsibility strategies and roadmaps. Erika has had a progressive career spanning multiple industries and positions driving impactful and sustainable people practices. Before joining RNDC in July 2018, she spent 16 years with Staples, where she leveraged her passion for equal representation and inclusive excellence as the Head of Global Inclusion and Diversity. Erika is a Certified Diversity Executive, a SHRM Senior Certified Professional, and active council member for beverage alcohol industry organizations like Women of the Vine and Spirits (WOTVS) and Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA). Originally from Los Angeles, she now resides in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with her husband, Thomas.
Ramcess is an attorney and HR/Labor Relations professional. He has over 20 years experience as a change agent and delivers human capital and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) solutions in media, tech and biopharma. He is the Global Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer at Pfizer. He is responsible for developing and leading the execution of Pfizer’s global, enterprise-wide strategies to transform the company’s DEI agenda. He oversees the teams responsible for executing Pfizer’s Global DEI programs and initiatives across the enterprise. His priorities include but are not limited to creating the strategy, infrastructure and programs to make sure Pfizer’s internal talent pool resembles the society and patients that Pfizer serves. He advises HR and business leaders on division- and region-specific culture and DEI strategies. He was previously the Global Chief DEI Officer at Verizon Media. He was responsible for strategic outreach, external relations and stakeholder engagement to Verizon’s global DEI efforts. He had responsibility over the Employee Resource Groups, the live National Employee Enrichment Series broadcast, National Partnerships, Outreach Programs, Military Hiring, Diversity Councils and Champions. He has served as an ADA in the NYC District Attorney’s Office; Dir., AG Worldwide/Phenom, a NY based advertising and marketing consulting company that launched the New York Police Department and Con Edison diversity campaigns. He also served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at SPIN, an organization dedicated to securing employment opportunities and full inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Dr. Sarrah Johnson is Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer and Senior Vice President, Operations at U.S. Renal Care. Sarrah is a Registered Nurse and a Clinical Operations Executive with nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare. Most recently, she served as the Chief Operating Officer for Urgent Care Group. Prior to that she held the role of Regional Vice President of Operations in the Mid-Atlantic for PhyMed Healthcare Group where she partnered with physicians and hospitals to implement an operating strategy for multisite anesthetizing locations supported by 35 physicians and more than 70 CRNAs. Prior to joining PhyMed, she was Regional Vice President for Fresenius Medical Care in the Capitol Region, following the Fresenius acquisition of Renal Advantage Inc. (RAI). At RAI, she served as Regional Director, then Division Vice President responsible for operations of more than 65 dialysis clinics in 13 states. Sarrah also served as a Registered Nurse and Regional Director for Gambro Healthcare, working in outpatient dialysis and acute dialysis settings. She has also volunteered for the District of Columbia College Access Program where she worked with teenagers preparing for college. Sarrah earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Executive Leadership from American Sentinel University, a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Trinity Washington University, and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) from Trinity Washington University. Sarrah recently completed a certification program through HarvardX in Improving Global Health: Focusing on Quality & Safety and held certification in Nephrology Nursing for eight years.
Jen Mahone-Rightler leads Epsilon’s D&I efforts by championing, developing and executing programs that enhance a culture of diversity, inclusion and belonging within the company. She is responsible for implementing sustainable programs to help shape the organization’s training, hiring practices, leadership development and broader corporate social responsibility efforts. Jen is also focused on integrating and aligning the company’s commitment to D&I with the clients and communities Epsilon serves. Jen brings more than 20 years of experience across diversity & inclusion, talent integration, recruiting, employee engagement and leadership development to Epsilon. Prior to joining Epsilon, Jen led Diversity & Inclusion efforts for Boeing South Carolina where she developed and executed an integrated D&I strategy for 60,000 employees and oversaw 9 business resource groups. Jen is a visiting facilitator in partnership with the University of South Carolina and a facilitator for Cornell University’s eCornell Certificate Program. She is also a principal partner and consultant with Elements2Inclusion, a boutique firm that provides diversity and inclusion services. Jen has held board positions with the Illinois Diversity Council (President) and with the Kenosha Community Foundation as the scholarship chairwoman for the MaryLou & Arthur F. Jobi Martinez, Ph.D., is the President and CEO of J|M Consulting. Dr. Martinez has 20 years of experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion and has worked with non-profits, city municipalities, colleges and universities, and for-profit corporations. Her work and research primarily examine how institutions advance diversity, equity, and inclusion. The last five years, Dr. Martinez has strategically focused on antiracism and guiding institutions on becoming antiracist institutions. In 2018, Dr. Martinez joined the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD), one of the most diverse universities in the nation, as the Special Assistant to the President for Diversity and Inclusion. With over 20 years of experience in diversity and inclusion, Dr. Martinez has spent most of her career leading DEI work in higher education. Dr. Martinez worked closely with the president and other administrative leaders on diversity, access, equity, and inclusion initiatives with a special focus on the university’s antiracism initiatives. In her capacity building role, she led the university to receive its first Insight into Diversity Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award. Prior to joining UHD, Dr. Martinez served as the Managing Director and Deputy Chief Diversity Officer at Texas Tech University (TTU) where she helped establish a division of 13 units committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and community engagement from 2009 to 2014. In 2014, she left her position to complete her doctorate degree and examine to advance her research and teaching in diversity and inclusion. During this time, she consulted colleges and universities on campus climate studies, diversity and inclusion marketing and communication, antiracism, and strategic plans. Dr. Martinez was recognized as a National Thought Leader (2018 and 2019) for her diversity leadership, innovative practice, and media and communication research.
Lisette Martinez leads Jefferson’s diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives to ensure excellence in education, research and patient care. Since starting at Jefferson in May 2020, she has led the first comprehensive strategic plan for diversity in the institution’s 196-year history. That plan includes a 30% goal for diversity in leadership, dialogue-building initiatives, resource centers for students, professional development, and a supplier mentorship program. From developing results-oriented diversity and inclusion programs, to building strong relationships with community organizations and government agencies, Martinez works to ensure that all parts of Jefferson reflect the diverse cultures it serves. Working closely with Jefferson’s President and CEO, Dr. Stephen Klasko, she has been at the forefront of Jefferson’s response to issues of racial inequity, while nurturing an environment of dialogue and growth within the organization. Prior to Joining Jefferson she was Yale New Haven Health System’s Inaugural Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer. Before joining Yale, Lisette Martinez was the System Director of Diversity and Language Services at TriHealth. Lisette has been a board member of Girls Scouts of CT and also New Haven Works. She was previously a board member of the Greater Cincinnati Community Action Agency. She was also a board member of the Diversity Advisory Council for the Cincinnati Reds. Lisette is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. Lisette was the recipient of the 2016 top 100 under 50 Executive Leaders award by Diversity MBA magazine and was a Forty under 40 awardee in 2012. She was one of the first women in Cincinnati to receive the Women of Influence Award by Lead Magazine in 2013. Most recently she was honored by Major League Baseball with the SEAT 21 award that recognizes individuals who embody the humanitarian spirit of Roberto Clemente. Lisette graduated with Delta Epsilon Sigma honors from Thomas More University with an MBA in May of 2006; and received her BBA from the University of Cincinnati in August of 1996. She has one daughter, Giselle Sophia, 22 who is a graduate student at American University in Washington D.C. Lisette is a native of Detroit, Michigan and of Puerto Rican descent, speaks fluent Spanish and is in love with her culture. She is always proud to share her Puerto Rican heritage with everyone she meets; and enjoys cooking her famous arroz con habichuelas (rice & beans) for her friends and family.
James E. Page, Jr. is The Nature Conservancy's Chief Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer. As the director of TNC’s new global DEI office, Page will focus efforts on creating solutions at the intersection of diversity, culture, climate, inclusion, and equity. This work is in alignment with the organization’s goals to create a world where people and nature thrive. During his career, Page has worked to develop and implement various diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, promote ethics and diversity at global organizations, and addressed challenges and opportunities related to workforce diversity. Page began his career at Dell, Inc., first as an engineering manager and then as a senior manager for diversity, ethics, privacy, and compliance. Following his time at Dell, Inc., Page built on his expertise and leadership within the academic and healthcare industries. He has held senior positions at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, DaVita, Inc., Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Johns Hopkins Medicine, and Vanderbilt University. In addition, he provided strategic counsel to TNC’s New York Chapter on strategic DEI alignment, cultural humility, and navigating and mitigating institutional bias and racism. In his free time, Page is an avid runner, enjoys camping and spending time outdoors with his family, reading, and enjoys cooking. A native of Indianapolis, IN, Page is the oldest of 5 boys, and has numerous foster brothers whom his parents have raised and welcomed into their home.
Chinten Parikh has over 30 years of experience leading diversity, inclusion and talent management functions for organizations in diverse fields, including global and fast growth companies. He has been responsible for establishing the strategic direction and execution of human resources strategies, including diversity & inclusion, leadership development, organizational design & development, succession planning, performance management and coaching & mentoring. Parikh is also active with community organizations, including the National Diversity Council. He has also provided strategic human resources consulting for organizations who are just beginning their diversity & inclusion journey. His unique background and experience enables him to quickly connect with diverse audiences and earn trust. Chinten’s over 30 years’ experience in human resources includes working at IQVIA, Rackspace Technology, Topgolf, University of North Texas System, Baylor, Scott & White, DFW Airport, Accor Hotels and the Job Corps National Training Institute. Chinten received a bachelor’s degree in organizational psychology from Louisiana State University and an MBA in organizational development from American Intercontinental University. He holds senior professional certifications from the Society for Human Resources Management and Human Resources Certification Institute; the certified diversity professional designation from the National Diversity Council, and is a certified harassment prevention trainer, diversity trainer and mentoring facilitator. In 2017, the Texas Diversity Council presented Parikh with the DiversityCHAMPIONS Award, and received the DEI Champions Award from the National Diversity Council in 2021.
As Chief Diversity Officer for Riot Games, Angela Roseboro develops and implements initiatives to drive inclusion and cultural growth. Angela manages all activity relating to diversity and inclusion (D&I) while also leading the recruiting team in driving inclusivity in Riot’s hiring and talent sourcing processes. Rowe Price, Jones Lang LaSalle, Genworth Financial, Whirlpool Corporation, and Manpower International. Angela has received numerous awards and recognitions for her work including Black Enterprise’s 150 Diversity Executive, The Network Journal’s 25 Influential Black Women in Business, and 50 Out Front for Women’s Leadership, Diversity and Inclusion. She has been featured in the Chicago Tribune, The Diversity Journal, and The Commercial Real Estate Women’s Network. Angela studied at the University of Louisville and Roosevelt University.
Sullivan Stoudamire leads Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts as a Health Catalyst leadership team member, reporting to the CEO and bringing more than two decades of success creating inclusive, high performing teams, cultures and award-winning messaging and initiatives. Her experience in B2B, B2C and B2G environments, in high tech companies, includes the biomedical, semiconductor, aerospace and defense and large nonprofit sectors. Along with profit and loss leadership as the CEO of the American Red Cross’s Biomedical Services Region in the Pacific Northwest, Sullivan Stoudamire has served as CMO and CCO for large, established brands. She’s also gained functional experience in Human Resources; ESG; Operations; Manufacturing; Business Development; Strategy; Strategic Partnerships; M&A; Investor, Community, Government and Public Relations. She holds a master’s in business administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Portland (Oregon). Celeste Warren is Vice President, Global Diversity and Inclusion Center of Excellence. As the leader for Merck’s Global Diversity and Inclusion Center of Excellence, she is responsible for working with Merck’s global leaders to advance and embed diversity and inclusion throughout the organization to enhance the employee experience and maximize business performance. Ms. Warren joined Merck in 1997 and has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility within the organization. Prior to joining Merck in 1997, Celeste worked for nine years at Kraft Foods, Inc. and General Foods.
