Dana Beckton leads Sutter Health’s diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) strategy as their first Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer. She works to drive DEI programming and initiatives while serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team. She oversees organizational efforts to enhance diversity in recruitment, training & development, retention and culture. She plays a critical role in further building trust and a sense of belonging with staff, physicians and clinicians, and enhances community partnerships to help Sutter deliver high-quality, equitable and culturally competent care to patients. Prior to joining Sutter Health, Beckton led DEI efforts for Sentara Healthcare, a not-for-profit healthcare organization serving Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. There, she aligned DEI aspirations to the organization’s strategy and helped operationalize them within the workplace, workforce and community. Beckton previously guided DEI programming for Christiana Care Health System in Delaware and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. Beckton earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Temple University and earned her master’s degree in Organizational Development & Leadership from Saint Joseph’s University.

Solynn McCurdy is Symetra's Senior Vice President, Chief Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Officer, and he is accountable for all enterprise-wide DE&I efforts, prioritizing workforce, marketplace, and social impact initiatives. He is a well-recognized innovator and leader with deep experience developing and strengthening equitable and inclusive policies, practices, and programs. He came to us from BECU, where he served as senior vice president of Social Impact. In this position, McCurdy oversaw all philanthropic and financial health efforts, community engagement, and cooperative community advocacy for Washington State's largest credit union and its more than 2,300 employees. He was instrumental in reimagining the BECU Foundation and giving strategy to accelerate their DE&I work and was the founding executive sponsor for their Black Alliance Cooperative Employee Connections Group. Before joining BECU, McCurdy was the chief executive officer at Social Venture Partners Seattle and led social impact programs at Premera Blue Cross. Formerly, he worked as the director of external affairs at Seattle University, where he stewarded regional strategies in community engagement and advocacy. McCurdy holds a master’s in education from Seattle University and a bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Washington. He was raised in the Puget Sound region by his maternal grandparents and was the first in his immediate family to pursue higher education and achieve senior executive-level leadership. Extending support to his community, he is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. (one of the Black Greek ‘Divine Nine’ Letter Organizations) and served on the board of trustees for the University of Washington Alumni Association, the curriculum committee for Leadership Tomorrow, and the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce board of trustees. Outside the workday, Solynn is an avid foodie who enjoys spending time with his kids (especially seeing Marvel and DC comic book movies), strength training and conditioning, and live music.

James Page is a distinguished leader in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), with a career spanning over 25 years across sectors like environmental, healthcare, and technology. He has held transformative roles at Dell, Johns Hopkins, Penn Medicine, and currently, as the Global Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer at The Nature Conservancy, he leads efforts in 79 countries to address disparities exacerbated by climate change. He holds a Bachelor's in computer technology from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
